Du et al. show that CAR-T cells targeting B7-H3 (B7-H3.CAR-Ts) effectively control tumor cells in vitro and in mice without obvious toxicity. 4-1BB, compared with CD28, co-stimulation induces lower PD1 expression in B7-H3.CAR-Ts and thus better efficacy when targeting tumor cells expressing PD-L1.
